Does anyone know any good remedies for bad depression with out using medication?

I have horrible horrible horrible depression and tried almost every drug and nothing else seems to work

First, let me say that I suffer from depression and I had to try at least 6 different types before I found one that worked for me. I’ve been on Cymbalta now for a year and it works great. If you haven’t tried it yet, I suggest you do.

Otherwise, I have to recommend that you exercise on a regular basis. Exercising gets your endorphins moving and helps you feel good. It’ll give you energy and help you with sleeping as well.

You could also try some natural remedies such as 5HTP, SAM-e or St. John’s Wort. I’ve heard great things about all of them, however, they didn’t work very well for me.

    I tried all kinds as well and as an effort to lose weight I took up swimming and found the exercise did far more for my depression than it did my waistline. I’ve been swimming 2 or 3 times a week for the past 3yrs and I don’t have the big lows I did have maybe its just forcing myself to do something keeps me going. Well any exercise would do maybe, give it a try. Best of luck.
