Natural anti-depressants?

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with natural techniques for curing depression. I tried taking some of the medicine for a while but it only made things worse.

I know all of the breathing techniques and diets, but i want to know What Works… ?

I’m surprised no one mentioned exercise…the endorphin level is raised more consistently with exercise than with most medications. Not saying not to use them or try them if needed..but do not underestimate exercise..and nature as well for relieving depression. Diet, various herbs also will assist in making the improvment. But they will take time to get in your system. So don’t rule them out if you don’t notice a difference in a week! Also finding someone to be able to talk freely about your feelings..not letting you ‘dwell’ on them indefintely will help as well. Educating yourself and learning some helpful coping techniques will be a plus too

    I know that spicy food will increase endorphins thus allowing you to be cheery. if you aren’t into spicy food though, I would suggest going to a natural heath store or an apothecary and seeking advice there.

    Also, an herb called Mexican Damiana.
    It is available at health stores.
    Also St. John’s Wort.

    Surprisingly, for me, no artificial medicine can cure a depression. Praying helps to relax a troubled mind. If you can’t sleep at night, don’t count sheeps, talk to the Shepherd.That’s the natural way of dealing with it. If someone is depressed, they tend to turn on food which is wrong. Ask for some sound advice from your trustful friend,if you had a problem. Of course that bonding of yours should not be a drinking session or something that you want to escape from the problem.
