I realize it’s not always easy to do, especially if you follow a daily routine, but changing the things in your life that are causing your anxiety can make a huge difference. Changing jobs, or getting out of a relationship that’s not working out can make your life better. Of course, there’s the obvious stuff, like diet, getting enough sleep, chamomille tea, and all that stuff too.

Exercise! And eating right, getting enough sleep and cutting out the substances that we’ve all come to rely on, but don’t need, like caffeine.
When you think about it, it’s common sense; take good care of yourself and you’ll feel better. But as Will Rogers said, "Common sense ain’t common".
One more thing I’ve found helpful, turn off the TV now and then. The barrage of images and sound is not helpful if your goal is a less anxious mind.

It depends on what your normal routine is and what’s causing these feelings.
To help with depression, exercise and eat right. The exercise releases endorphins and neurotransmitters into your blood stream that naturally improve mood and help you feel better about yourself. it also relaxs you. It is believed that half an hour a day of moderate to high impact exercise or an hour of very low impact (such as just walking for an hour) will release the same amount of chemicals as antidepressant medication one would take in two days.
Eating right always helps as well. But remember to give in to temptation because that also helps you feel happy. Once a week, get your favourite ice cream treat or eat a piece of that chocolate cake. Apparently, if you have something that you usually have as a treat and eat a little bit every night, it will help as well, because you won’t binge on it the next time you have it and it makes you feel happy because you’re eating something you enjoy. And drink lots of water. Surround yourself with ppl that you’re comfortable with, and listen to music that you enjoy. Find something that you can feel challenged with and do it. Mind puzzles are good, because you start easy and get comfortable and then work your way to harder things. When you complete a puzzle, you get satisfaction that you did it right and you did it on your own, and it naturally gives you a boost as well.
What are you getting anxious about? If your mind just won’t stop and you’re having trouble sleeping, try turning off the computer and tv at least an hour before you go to bed. The constant stimulation will keep you awake longer and your brain won’t be able to calm down like it should. Find something you like to read or something you like to listen to, and do that for an hour. Yoga or pilates are also good before bed, it helps you unwind and stretch your body so you’re more relaxed. You can get scented sprays that help calm and relax, that you can spray on your pillow before you go to bed to make you feel more at ease as well.
If it’s social anxiety, don’t do anything you’re uncomfortable with, but try to push yourself. If you enjoy cooking, maybe find a cooking class to join, or dance class or something that there are ppl around, but that you’re somewhere you feel safe as well. Maybe take a good friend or family member with you.
If work is stressing you out, try taking a stretch break every hour. Yoga poses are easy to do and just do one every hour for 30 seconds and it will help.

Overcoming anxiety is no small task.
It takes practice and a lot of hard work.
I used to have panic attacks once a week
due to my high anxiety, so I definitely feel
for you. Fortunately, I can do a lot more
for you than empathize.
By utilizing the techiques below, I was slowly
able to gain control over my anxiety and stop
my panic attacks from occuring. If you
exercise these techiques regularly, you too
will see great improvements in anxiety,
tension and stress.
Breathing:
As the anxiety creeps up, begin to count in
your head. Count 1,2,3,4 — 1,2,3,4 — 1,2,3,4
pausing on the dashes and so on.
You’re not going to actually say or
even think the numbers. You’re going
to breath the numbers.
Take a deep breath in through your
nose for the 1 and 2. Then take a
deep breath out through your mouth
for the 3 and 4. Practice this routine
for a few minutes a day until it
becomes an automated exercise for you.
Practicing really helps a lot.
Practice in a controlled environment.
I used to practice before bed. When
panic does hit, this self-defense
mechanism kicks in without effort.
Control Your Thinking:
When you have negative thoughts,
negative things will come into your
life. Conversely when you have positive
thoughts, positive things will come
into your life.
That’s because thoughts steer the
direction of your life.
The same holds true in moments of high
anxiety. It’s important during these
times to monitor your thoughts and
make sure you force calming ideas
and images into your head.
Nothing is really as bad as it seems and ten
years from now,this particularly stressful
situation won’t exist - so control your
thinking to avoid your mind from falling
into a negative thought spiral.
As soon as you have a negative thought,
throw it out of your head and
counterbalance yourself with a
positive or optimistic thought.
This is a hard one, but after
you monitor your thoughts for
a week or two, you begin to think
more positive in general.
These two tactics helped me a lot.

I had overwhelming anxiety. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda.
I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. The package doesn’t have to say Splenda to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might still be using it and don’t even know it!
Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia and more.
The slogan, "Made from sugar…" is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.
